    Teeth Whitening

A bright smile can make a strong impression, and at Dentelli Dental Clinic, we understand the importance of a unique, confident smile. Our teeth whitening services are designed to help you achieve a stunning smile that reflects your inner beauty and boosts your confidence.

Achieve a bright smile with professional teeth whitening at the Dentelli Clinic

Teeth whitening is a procedure by which you can lighten the natural colour of your teeth. Over time factors such as age, diet, lifestyle, and the use of certain medications can cause the teeth to lose their shine and whiteness. Our teeth whitening treatments offer a safe and effective way to restore your smile’s youthful glow.

The power of a bright smile

A brilliant smile can do wonders for your appearance and confidence. Whether you’re preparing for a special event or job interview or want to feel more confident in your everyday life, our teeth whitening services can help you achieve the smile of your dreams.

    Teeth whitening methods

    Dentelli Clinic offers teeth whitening:

Office Whitening with a Zoom lamp: it is a one-visit therapeutic procedure in which a whitening gel (based on hydrogen peroxide 35%) is applied to the tooth surface and activated with a zoom lamp in 3-4 cycles of 15 minutes.

Whitening with splints: our team of dentists and technicians make individual whitening splints in which you apply 10-16% hydrogen peroxide whitening gel for 4-7 days. Optimal results are achieved after wearing the whitening splint for 3-5 hours, and the advantage of this method is that you can do it in the comfort of your home.

For optimal and personalised results, consider our combined whitening option. This includes an in-office whitening procedure with a zoom lamp to speed up the whitening process, followed by our at-home whitening splints to maintain and improve results over time.

    Professional guidance and supervision

During teeth whitening, our experienced doctors and dental hygienists supervise the entire process. The entire Dentelli Clinic team will ensure that your teeth whitening treatment is safe and effective. We consider your overall oral health and any concerns you may have to create a customised treatment plan that fits your needs.

    Adapted to your needs

No two smiles are the same, so we believe in providing personalised treatment plans. Our dental professionals will assess your teeth, gums and overall oral health before recommending the best approach to teeth whitening. Whether you opt for in-office whitening with a zoom light, a home whitening kit with splints, or both, your therapy will be tailored to your unique goals.

    Minimal sensitivity

We understand that sensitivity is a common concern with teeth whitening. Dentelli Clinic uses high-quality whitening and aftercare products to minimise discomfort and sensitivity during and after treatment. Sensitivity occurs due to dehydration of the teeth and is a temporary discomfort. Our goal is to give you a brighter smile without compromising your comfort.

    Understanding tooth discoloration

Tooth discolouration can happen to anyone and is a natural part of ageing. While maintaining good oral hygiene is essential, factors such as dietary habits, lifestyle, unhealthy habits such as smoking and genetics can contribute to the gradual discolouration of teeth. At the Dentelli dental clinic, we understand that a bright smile can positively affect your self-confidence. We offer professional teeth whitening solutions to help you achieve the desired shade.

    Common causes of tooth discoloration

    1. Eating habits: Consumption of foods and drinks with strong pigments, such as coffee, tea, red wine and berries, can lead to surface stains on the teeth over time.
    2. Use of tobacco: Smoking or using tobacco products can cause stubborn stains that are difficult to remove with regular brushing.
    3. Ageing: The enamel is responsible for the white shine of the teeth. With age, it wears down, which is why the darker colour of the dentin comes to the fore.
    4. Medicines: Certain medications, such as tetracycline antibiotics, can cause intrinsic stains that affect the colour of the teeth from the inside.Genetics: Genetics play a big role in tooth colour. Some individuals are genetically predisposed to have teeth that are more prone to discolouration. People with a naturally thicker layer of enamel will have visually whiter teeth than those with naturally thinner enamel. Underneath it, there is a thicker layer of yellow dentin.

Am I a candidate for teeth whitening?

If you have problems with external stains caused by superficial factors such as diet or smoking, or you have noticed that, over time, your teeth have changed colour and lost their freshness, you may be an ideal candidate for teeth whitening. Our doctors will assess whether sandblasting is sufficient. However, it is important to note that not all types of discolouration respond well to teeth whitening, and the whitening effect is individual. For example, intrinsic stains caused by medications or certain medical conditions may require alternative treatment options. During the consultation at the Dentelli clinic, our dental experts will assess your unique situation and recommend the best approach to achieve the desired results.

    Teeth whitening process

Achieving a bright smile at the Dentelli dental clinic is a simple and effective process that can be divided into several key steps:

    1. Initial consultation: Your journey to a brighter smile begins with the first consultation. During this meeting, our dentists will discuss your goals, assess your current tooth colour, and determine the most appropriate approach to teeth whitening.
    2. Colour evaluation: We will use colour guides to assess the current colour of your teeth and set the stage for your teeth whitening treatment.
    3. Treatment selection: Based on the consultation and colour assessment, our dental experts will recommend the most suitable teeth whitening method for your unique situation. We offer professional teeth whitening in the office and home whitening kits.
    4. Teeth whitening in the office:

    Before the procedure itself

The teeth are thoroughly brushed and tartar removed, if present, so the tooth surface is clean and ready for treatment. Professional teeth whitening involves the application of a whitening gel in a maximum of four sessions. The Zoom lamp emits light that activates the photocatalyst in the gel and stimulates the chemical whitening reaction. The procedure takes about an hour and a half. The treatment’s result depends on the teeth’ initial colour, which becomes visible within seven days of the treatment. After the treatment, tooth sensitivity and mild irritation of the gums are normal. These symptoms are temporary and pass in a few days. It is essential to follow the detailed instructions on food consumption for a short period after whitening so that the whitening effect is as good and long-lasting as possible.

    1. Take-home whitening kit: If you choose a take-home whitening kit, we will ensure a product that fits your teeth comfortably. You will fill these splints with a professional whitening gel and wear them for a certain period of time at home. This method allows you to gradually achieve the desired shade over several days.
    2. Instructions for aftercare: After your teeth whitening treatment, our dentists will provide detailed aftercare instructions to help you maintain your new, bright smile. This may include advice on avoiding food and drink colouring and maintaining oral hygiene.

Frequently asked questions about teeth whitening

To provide you with the information you need, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions about our teeth whitening services:

    1. 1. How long does the teeth whitening treatment last? >
The duration of the treatment varies depending on the method used and the degree of discolouration. In-office teeth whitening usually takes 60-90 minutes, while home whitening kits can take several weeks for visible results.
    2. 2. Are there side effects associated with teeth whitening? >
Some patients may experience temporary tooth sensitivity during or after treatment. This sensitivity is usually mild and disappears soon after the procedure. Gum irritation can also occur if the whitening gel comes into contact with the gums, but our dentists take precautions to minimise this risk.
    3. 3. How long do teeth whitening results last? >
Teeth whitening is not permanent, but proper maintenance can last several months to several years. Avoiding coloured foods and drinks, maintaining good oral hygiene, and having regular dental checkups can help prolong the longevity of your results.
    4. 4. Can teeth whitening damage my teeth? >
Professional teeth whitening is considered safe for teeth. Our experts use exceptional-quality products designed to work only on the tooth pigment formula.
    5. 5. Is teeth whitening suitable for everyone? >
Bleaching is not recommended for people with certain dental conditions, such as excessive tooth sensitivity, gum disease, the presence of dental restorations such as crowns and veneers, or extensive caries. A detailed consultation with our dentists will help you determine if teeth whitening is right for you.
    6. 6. Can I whiten my teeth if I have fillings or prosthetic restoration? >
Teeth whitening treatments affect natural tooth enamel and will not lighten the colour of dental restorations such as crowns, veneers or fillings. If you have fillings and prosthetic restorations, our dentists will guide you to the best approach.
    7. 7. How white can my teeth become with professional whitening? >
With professional teeth whitening, you can significantly lighten the colour of your teeth. Still, the degree of whitening depends on the initial colour of your teeth and the whitening method you use. Our dentists will work with you to set realistic expectations and achieve the colour that matches your desires.
    8. 8. How often can I go for teeth whitening? >
Waiting several months to a year between teeth whitening treatments is generally recommended. Excessive use of whitening products can lead to tooth sensitivity and possible enamel damage.
